The Gerald Law Firm takes great pride in assisting its clients with their probate affairs. In the area of decedent’s estate, the firm provides a
roadmap for the orderly administration of the estate.
When an adult is incapacitated and incapable of managing their affairs or a minor child acquires an estate that has a value in excess of $10,000.00, the Gerald Law Firm will assist the client in the appointment process for a Conservatorship. When an adult has lost legal capacity to make decisions and medical care becomes a concern, the Gerald Law Firm can assist its clients with the appointment process for a Guardianship.
The proper planning of an individual’s estate should focus on the specific needs and goals of each client. The Gerald Law Firm realizes each case is different and approaches each case with an eye to reaching the best result for the client. The Gerald Law Firm, P.A. is a boutique law firm located in Columbia, South Carolina. Since opening his private practice in 1989, Mr. Gerald has developed his litigation experience in the areas of automobile accidents, family law and probate law. Mr. Gerald is licensed to practice in all municipal, magistrate, state and federal courts of South Carolina. The Gerald Law Firm and its staff welcomes the opportunity to handle your legal affairs.
ATTORNEY PROFILE
DENNIS GERALD
Dennis M. Gerald earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History in 1983 from the University of South Carolina and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University Of South Carolina School Of Law in 1988.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Gerald joined a general practice law firm in Columbia, South Carolina, where he focused on Personal Injury law and Probate law. After one year, Mr. Gerald started his own law firm and expanded his practice to include Auto Accident Law, Probate and Estate Law and Family Law.
Mr. Gerald is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, Richland County Bar Association and the Columbia Lawyers Association. In addition to his professional associations, Mr. Gerald is a member of Bibleway Church of Atlas Road and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Mr. Gerald is a former board member of the Black Alumni Council at the University of South Carolina and the South Carolina Council on Adoptable Children.
Mr. Gerald’s practice areas include Personal Injury Law, Family Law and Probate/Estate Law.
